CONFRIMED BREEDINGS:
|
Latest Updates :With the world going crazy with inflation on literally everything! And not wanting to raise prices that high.. We will be pausing our Breedings for a short time to allow our economy to settle down and stabilize.
Plz remember our hounds are our Furbabies first and foremost. And we don't wanna set a family and pup up for failure. It is a glorious privilege to Own any animal as a pet, Not a Right! and with inflation hitting all of use middle class blue collared workers hard, we here at OLH understand money is tight for everyone. Puppies and Dogs (Mostly puppies are very expensive to raise) even after they leave our place. There are at least 2/3 more Vet visits and rounds of shots to given. Not to mention routine check ups, and Lord forbid an EMERGENCY was to pop up. Examples: Deedee, (female Bloodhound 4 months of age) was lethargic no appetite just not her normal self. Here it is a Sunday Afternoon no vets open, closest "Emergency Vet" 1 hour away. we called ahead, got there in 45 mins and still had to wait 3 hours to be seen! (thank GOD it wasn't life threatening) No answers just some Sub Q fluids and antibiotics $1,342.78 and told to follow up with normal vet Monday. C.J. (Female 10/11 yr old Basset Hound) got into a Tiff with another female, resulting in a wound under her left eye that needed to be stitched up. (luckily our normal vet was in and saw her right away) $111.23 The worst feeling in the world is trying to figure out how to come up with and Emergency Vet bill or having to decide Rent/Insurance/car payment or your Furbaby! Or having to ask friend or family members to help. Trust me We get it here at OLH and for the Love of all Our Hounds, and we don't wanna see our past babies signed over to Rescues/Vets (cause that's one way how Retail Rescues work) and our OLH Family to even have to make a choice like that. Terri n I put a lot of thought into Pausing our Breedings till we can All adjust to the skyrocketing prices. Also PLZ DO NOT BE AFRAID TO REACH OUT TO YOUR BREEDER/BREEDERS FOR HELP IF NEEDED. If its truly a life threatening issue you would be amazed How much help we can be or at least try and help. |
